About ADHD, I'm in a support group for adult women with ADHD/ADD. Most of them were diagnosed as adults, because ADHD was considered a condition typical for boys, and it was believed that boys would grow out of it. So many of these women struggle in relationships, work, being burn-out, and so many say "I wish I was diagnosed as a kid and given the medication that I'm using now.". I'm also participating in a family course for parents who have teenage kids who struggle with emotional disregulation. Half of the parents have ADHD, and all the kids have either ADHD, Autism or strong anxiety. Some of these parents have gone through very tough times themselves, but still couldn't teach their kids resiliance.

What great insight.. we parents wanted to be parents. We can only do our best. And how dare anyone try to convince children that the people who love them the most in this world are not worthy and must be subverted.

Why does AS shout so much? Also, with all due respect, she’s not a clinician and isn’t seeing what we are seeing in our work with trans identifying kids and their families.
