Hurrah for Prishas. What a strong women to go through all this. It is so good to hear the lawsuits have arrived and are making headway. I live in Boston and am disgusted by the Fenway!

Somewhere around the 25 or 26 minute mark, Stella refers to a paper on the child’s right to an open future. When I google that phrase, I come up with multiple hits. Can either of our hosts or one of my fellow listeners recommend a foundational paper on this topic? I have access to a university library if need be.

Moti Gorin has a new paper out on the ethics of youth transition, and he invokes this principle in it. Here’s a link to his paper. It’s open access. https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/hast.1583

For me, the right to an open future is a compelling argument, and one that extends into adulthood too. I’m thinking particularly of my 20 year-old students who believe they would like to get their tubes tied, for example.
