Yes I'm following and support this. Women and girls are having biological men imposed on them by human rights ruling that trans identified males are legally female. Forgotten in these human rights rulings are the commitments made to enshrine women's rights and protections. Women historically have been victims of domestic violence, physical, & sexual assault most often perpetrated by men. Activism allows trans identified men potentially with unchecked sexual paraphilias to enter women's spaces subjecting women and girls to potential danger and humiliation. Women have rights to women only safe spaces, social and sporting events without the presence of men. It's time remember societies commitments to the rights of women and girls.
In Australia there is little awareness of the issue among the general public. I hope that this case will shake things up and make people aware of the issues even if Sall doesn’t win her case. Whoever wins, there will probably be an appeal to the High Court, so it’ll be big news. Ultimately we need to change the law to make it clear that sex is binary and immutable.
Following! Certainly the name alone will garnet more attention than usual. As usual, the media will mostly cover it as an assault on ‘trans people’s rights’.
Unfortunately I don't think it'll be a win for Sall. The judge said he's ruling on the law and not what's right, and there's another big case that lost yesterday. The Mona Art Gallery in Tasmania had a "Ladies Lounge" that barred men from accessing it (but they allowed men who "identified" as women in anyway). They lost the anti-discrimination case. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-04-09/mona-loses-bid-to-exclude-men-from-ladies-lounge/103687390
Even if they cut off their penis and balls they still have men's pattern violence and agression. Transmen don't seem to want to make waves - just like their biological sex tends. The men MTF get off on the transgression.
I don’t have time for a long reply but what comes to mind is I’m not sure how many men only spaces remain in the world. Are men only spaces and groups legal in Australia?
Sall made a really good point when she was talking to Louise Perry. She said, if men really want their own space, it’s very easy for them to create a space that’s inhospitable to women. But women cannot do anything to keep predatory men out.
That is a good point. And it sucks. I just heard about Title IX here in the US where the new regulation doesn’t define sex and allows kids to use the bathroom if their choice. I’m thinking we should all start identifying as men and start going into men’s bathrooms in groups and stand around talking to each other (not about men) while they’re changing. We ignore them completely but just show up in their spaces in groups and say we identify as men.

So frustrating.
