I am interested to see how this goes. My daughter got T through Planned Parenthood and passed out at the wheel and rolled her car 2 months later. Bloodwork showed she had raised prolactin and after an MRI found she has a prolactinoma and Testosterone stimulates growth in these tumors. Planned Parenthood never did preliminary bloodwork, which would have shown increased prolactin, and never followed up after telling her to get bloodwork a month after starting. She couldn't find the lab so she didn't get it. I can't believe that they are able to keep doing this.

I attended a Netroots Nation panel in 2018 where two women from oddly-named offices in reproductive rights organizations said that Planned Parenthood was transforming into a hormone provider to young people, a move which was somehow supposed to save abortion freedom. I have talked about it before. It was easily the strangest experience I ever had in progressive politics.

I am so happy that The Free Press and Christina published this story. Unfortunately, I do not think Planned Parenthood will bat an eyelash. Their “machine”, their billions of dollars in funding and their public brand are too big. To them we are screaming into a black hole. For so many decades they have solidified their brand to women as a necessary place for women to access the healthcare they NEED but lied about their bigger mission being abortion access and now cross sex hormones. They highlight mostly other routine health services (that are part of being healthy and are important). They have brilliant spokes people that spew lies by omission to the public. Now, mainstream media covers for them. For decades PP haS cleverly manipulated women and men to vote solely based on the perpetual FEAR that their right to abortion will be eliminated with every upcoming election. No room for nuance. I believe in the right to an abortion and yet I can see through the manipulation. They are soooooo good at creating their own public persona. When my husband and I mention the evolution of PP’s practices and the harms they are doing our friends literally do not care. They cannot see past abortion right for their daughters. And in my city, the mayor just sold a piece of property to PP for $10. That is not a typo. In a a thriving revitalized urban development for 20 something’s with money and jobs….

My son got his hormones from planned parenthood. He’s autistic and never told me about his transition. I found out from another family member 1 year ago. He’s been on hormones for 2 years, isn’t working and has never had a job, is about to be homeless, looks like a man with breasts, and still has never had a conversation with me about his transition. He just refuses to even discuss it or talk to me. He’s 22.
