Stella and Sasha, you have accumulated an incredible trove of primary sources. Historians privilege text, however. Please consider publishing a collection of annotated transcripts of your most important interviews.
I had a dream last night that a loved one had died and I woke up feeling intense grief. Then I realized it was the last day of your wonderful podcast and I hadn't expected it to hit me this hard. This has been a lifeline for me during such a challenging time and I will miss it. Unfortunately I have already listened to every episode, I wasn't here quite from the beginning, I found it towards the end of the first season, but I've been a devoted listener since then.
It is such a strange time right now, and some days I feel hopeful that this insanity will end soon and other days I worry about how much longer it will drag out and fear it never will die out. I do wonder if we will see a case of the higher they climb the bigger they'll fall though, given that this did become bigger and more entrenched than the recovered memory crisis. Today I will feel hopeful that thanks to your wonderful, brave and compassionate work that the lies and harms of this movement will be so thoroughly exposed that it will be done for good.
How can I possibly say goodbye? You have brought common sense, sanity, clarity, wisdom and a bit of humor to a very dark topic. Your work will forever have changed so many lives. As a paid member on here, I assume I will be able to access the live and unfiltered discussions? I would love more help in discussing how to parent and move through young adulthood and the slippery challenges of college and independence. I also would love for the discussions to focus on the current events and changes in our world and what is going on in the weeds and what if all means. During the time listening to this podcast I have realized main stream media only covers a dot of this side of the coin. I have learned to read, listen and watch from a variety of sources now. I will be forever grateful and thankful for the learning and perspective sharing and shifting, If I had not found this podcast, I’m not sure where I’d be. So very grateful for all that you’ve shared with your audience. The guests have been interesting and dynamic. Some of it,sounded like it came out of a horror film hard to believe this medical scandal is not more widely understood. This should NOT be a political issue. Praying for our kids, young adults and the people who are struggling. I hope common sense prevails and the word finally makes it to all sides no matter WHO you support politically.
Thank, Stella and Sasha, you for your very important body of work. Indeed, it will be treasure trove for historians of the future. You have done more than perhaps anyone to show the complexity of the transgender phenomenon -- psychologically and sociologically. I look forward to traveling along with both of you as you continue your exploration.
Oh my, I'm just too emotional to say anything coherent right now. Except for thank you. Thank you for all you both have done in every episode, with every guest, through every exploration of this psychological, societal, and political phenomenon. I can't imagine there will ever be a Friday morning when I don't wake up and think, oh, I get to listen to Stella and Sasha today for a breath of sanity, hope, and reinforcement as I and so many of us parents continue to navigate these treacherous waters with our children. I will follow you both to your new platforms. One idea for a topic is: The Affirmers. The Allies. With a title along the lines of (probably needs to be less snarky) "So, You think You're Being Kind and Supportive? What if it's the Opposite??" Highlighting good intentions gone terribly awry. Analyzing the character traits of those who have bought it all as the next civil rights movement versus those who questioned it all along or had wake up moments. For those of us who have been "cancelled" and lost friends over this, it would be difficult to do that with an open heart at this point as I think it's all obvious enough really or at least there's enough information out there to have enlightened people by now, but those less worn down than I could perhaps tackle it? I will miss you both on GWL and return to past episodes often.
Quick question: your new monthly live event will be on substack… do we find it under GWL? And do we need to subscribe? So many different subscriptions and places to find my favorite experts it is all swimming in my head. Also, has our GWL subscription simply been halted automatically? I see stella has extended 12 months to us for Beyond Gender. So generous. Thank you.
I’ve checked this out. And the answer is no! The good news is that as a GWL subscriber you’ll have full access to our new Live & Unfiltered events. The first one is taking place this Friday! You will also continue to have access to all the exclusive content right here in Substack. However, if you don’t plan to join us for the Live & Unfiltered events and would like to cancel your subscription, you can do so and let us know if you have any trouble.
You can also change your subscription tier because all subscribers (including free subscribers) will be allowed to join us in our live and unfiltered events
Details on how to join this Friday’s event are coming soon and will be posted right here in Substack
You ladies are tremendous. Beautiful inside and out and brilliant. (Thats a Stella word). I will remember GWL every Friday morning, as well, as it was a great comfort to hear your voices and mind blowing guests. I have listened to every single episode and could tell you where I was for each and every one. All over the States and even in Italy and Greece. In the car, sitting with coffee, on a walk or doing housework. Almost every episode had an ‘ah-ha’ moment or an out loud ‘yes’ or, as Stella often said, ‘oh my god’. That meant you were onto something really really bad. I will never forget when you got Dr. Devries to admit they had SWITCHED the surveys post surgery or hormone treatment n the Dutch protocol.
I agree, this is not going away quickly, even now. Expect a tripling down. I am watching Brianna Wu. I do not trust him.
We will miss you and look forward to the future. 💕💕💕💕💕
Just want to make clear, if it wasn't already, the "drinking game" comments were meant with the greatest of affection. I think it's safe to say we all would love to listen to Stella asking if we follow her and informing us of the state of her poor head (spinning, being blow off, etc.) all day long. Her lovely accent and wise words are always a joy to listen to! Thank you, thank you, thank you, Stella and Sasha, for everything! I don't know where my daughter and I would be today without your guidance and dedication.
lol I used to say “do you get me?” And I decided nobody really understood that, so somewhere along the way I started to say “do you follow me?” Clearly I’m very keen to be understood 🤪😳
Thank you so much for all you have done and the information and guidance you have given me. I looked forward to hearing you every Friday and have already gone back and started again. Your podcast has been a lifeline, I am in Perth Australia and there is nowhere to go for help here. I am so sorry the time difference won’t work out to keep listening to you.
I had realized there were something wrong with the whole gender identity thing years ago but I couldn't find any good information in french. I switched to english and found your podcast - it was like unlocking the door to the Ali Baba's treasure cave.
Your voices have accompanied me for years now and through difficult times. I could never thank you enough.
I remember listening the episode about collective collusion in the train - I can almost remember the scenery through the window. I loved it ! Also, I listened twice the episode with Calvin Lunt. He is so interesting and entertaining !
I'm looking forward to the lives and to hear your thoughts !
I echo the praise for your sustained work, S and S. A small task for what’s next … Philip Ball is The New European science columnist. As are others at TNE, he’s a bit woke in his “scientific” views on sex and gender (though even that basic distinction isn’t named). But at least he/they have put his/their head above the parapet. And there’s a chance that some clear evidence- and politics-based reasoning from the best expert on this might be published if not taken on board. If no one is doing it yet, can you engage someone better than me to respond please?
Just to add: The Trump order is quoted as defining male or female as "belonging to the sex that produces the small [or big] reproductive cell". That's actually a rather neat way to set out the two categories. I don't know details about what the Trump executive order writes, but PB's "science" simplifies that in order to rubbish the categories on spurious grounds that come from popular culture not good science. His "science" erases the whole (scientific and social) core of animal evolution and the human species.
I'd love to see someone 1. skilfully countering PB's logic, 2. bring in the important social and political contexts that make this so important (and a key to why the Democrats lost), and 3. get something published in the rather woke but well-regarded New European weekly paper (which is otherwise pretty good, I think).
Sasha and Stella, what a difference you’ve made in the world and will continue to make. I’m sad to see a wider lens go, but excited to see what your futures hold. Thank you for saving the lives and sanity of kids and parents everywhere
You two created a community when we so many of us were suddenly cast out from our own. Nothing was as it seemed. The fact that this version of a Gender a Wider Lens is ending is a good sign, it is an end of an era that helped bring us back to common sense and grounded us in reality during an unreal upside down gender saga. I'm looking forward to the first live event on March 7th at what will be 1pm my time. So cool! Hat's off!
Hi Stella and Sasha. I would have loved to engage with your live events, but as an orthodox Jew, it seems I will not be able to do that, as your events are being held on Shabbat. (especially as I am in the UK so 4pm + 5 hours is 9pm on Friday night)
That’s so unfortunate. Hopefully you can catch up on our other work - I’vea podcast called Beyond Gender and Sasha’s podcast The Metaphor of Gender is coming soon!

I hope you get the chance to join us tomorrow evening. You’re right, it is such a strange time, solidarity can help a little xx

Thank you so much for your kind words. Yes, this issue should never have been politicised, it has caused indescribable pain xx
