I was so excited for this episode and it did not disappoint! It feels like the legal landscape is changing fast and as someone who isn't a lawyer I really enjoyed getting some perspective here.

I'll also note, my mom had OCD and my sister in the trans cult has OCD. I've recently started processing these experiences but it is very true that someone who is obsessive is a force of nature and it's hard for people who have never lived with it to really understand. My sister got into the woke/trans cult before it was on most people's radar in 2008 and started trying to police what I read and what movies I watch. She would harass me for months for watching a movie she deemed problematic (even though she couldn't be bothered to watch it) and it escalated to public shaming. And the mental impact of being publicly shamed AND no one speaking in my defense has been brutal. I've written about it on my Substack trying to encapsulate how it makes people terrorized to speak out against someone in the grips of an obsession, and I think that is a lot of where it starts. And once people are scared to speak out it escalates FAST.

I’ve been waiting for this episode! Can’t wait to listen. I wonder how she reacted to Supreme Court justice Ketanji Brown Jackson saying (actually rudely interrupting Skrmetti to say) “All medications have side effects, even aspirin has side effects.” Does she realize we don’t give aspirin to children? This from someone who claimed not to be a biologist when she wouldn’t define what a woman is. Well, I guess she’s not a pharmacist either.

Great episode!! I'm so glad someone is finally talking about GAC's potential to become a public nuisance. The consequences (e.g. monetary, resources, lost productivity, etc.) from a public health standpoint as these kids (and now adults) start to suffer the longer term effects are going to really add up fast, which will be a disaster both at an individual and community level. Many will be unable to work and will become a huge drain on public health infrastructure and resources. And since so many are unable to have their own children, who will be taking care of them as they age?

Read Anatomy of an Epidemic if you want to see the big picture of psychopharmacology fraud.
