Here is what would make it matter. If The NY Times published a comprehensive Page 1 story that includes the findings of the Cass Report, combined with a detailed examination of all of these recent revelations.

Over the last two years or so, NY Times coverage has been better than before, but it has come in dribs and drabs. They need to put the full weight of the institution behind a full expose. Then follow it up with a scathing lead editorial.

That would make it matter. Until then we are going to shamble along with more dribs and drabs.

Hi. I don’t know how to contact you but just listened to a talk Dan Ariely (author of Misbelief) and I think he would be an amazing guest on the podcast. His research is incredibly relevant to the ideas behind how to bring people to detransition and why most things that parents try don’t work.

Thanks for the recommendation! We will have our team look into it. Where was the talk?

It was at a pub in Durham NC. He is a professor at Duke and it was a book promotion that a friend invited us to. I had no idea how relevant his stuff was until I heard his talk. He knows very little about the gender space but sounded interested when I spoke to him after the talk. For the last few years his work has focused on Covid and conspiracy theories.
